What it means in practice for a small business
"AI for business" covers a lot of tools: writing text, summarizing documents, making images and answering customers. For a small business that runs most of its work on WhatsApp, this guide looks at one of them: answering customers.
The same questions come in again and again: how much it costs, when you can come, where you are and when you are open. A good tool can answer them for you, so you do not have to stop in the middle of a job each time.
Where it helps
- Questions that repeat. An instant answer even when you are on a job, in a meeting or after hours.
- A conversation instead of a menu. The customer writes in their own words and gets a real answer, with no "press 1 for prices".
- Collecting details before you step in. What the customer needs, where and when, so you already have the picture when you reply yourself.
Where you should keep it for yourself
- A price that depends on seeing the job, a complex quote or a negotiation.
- An angry customer or a complaint.
- Any question where the tool has no verified information from your business to answer from. A good tool hands that question back to you instead of guessing.

What to check before you choose a tool
- Is it connected to WhatsApp the official Meta way? WhatsApp's terms forbid auto-messaging through unauthorized means, and an account that breaks them can be suspended. The official WhatsApp Business connection through Meta.
- What does it do when it does not know the answer? How Answr handles questions it cannot answer.
- Do you have to build menus and flows, or does it learn your business? Flow builder or learning assistant: which fits your WhatsApp?
- What happens when you answer a customer yourself? Check that the tool does not jump into the middle of your conversation.
- What does it cost each month, and what does Meta charge separately? Answr pricing.
