Our Commitment

Answr is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

Conformance Status

This website is designed to conform to Israeli Standard (IS) 5568 Part 1 at Level AA, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as required under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. In addition, we test the site against the newer WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria as a supplementary standard.

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
  • Hearing impairments (deafness, hard of hearing)
  • Motor impairments (limited fine motor control, muscle slowness)
  • Cognitive impairments (learning disabilities, memory issues)

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website. Most features work automatically by default, while some respond to your device or browser settings:

Built-in by Default

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (menus, buttons, accordions, forms) can be operated using only a keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter/Space to activate, and Escape to close menus.
  • Skip Links: Press Tab when a page loads to reveal a "Skip to main content" link, allowing you to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Focus Indicators: A visible outline appears around the currently focused element, making it easy to see where you are on the page.
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes ensure screen readers can accurately interpret and navigate the content.
  • Color Contrast: Text colors are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) and are checked with automated contrast tools as part of our testing.
  • Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Language Support: The site is available in English and Hebrew (RTL), with proper lang attributes for correct screen reader pronunciation.
  • Animation Pause: Moving content (the logo strip and animated demos) can be stopped at any time through the "stop animations" option in the Vee accessibility menu. If the Vee interface cannot load, a native pause button appears at the bottom corner of the homepage as a fallback, so stopping animations never depends on the third-party service.

Responds to Your Settings

  • Reduced Motion: If you have enabled "Reduce motion" in your operating system settings (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), animations on this site are automatically minimized or disabled.
  • High Contrast Mode: If you enable High Contrast mode in your operating system, the website automatically adapts to ensure all content remains visible and readable.
  • Text Resizing: The website supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Use Ctrl/Cmd + Plus to zoom in, Ctrl/Cmd + Minus to zoom out.
  • Responsive Design: The layout automatically adapts to your screen size, whether you're on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

Accessibility Widget (Vee)

In addition to the accessibility built into the site itself, the website includes the Vee accessibility interface ("Vee - Website Accessibility"). An accessibility button appears on every page; activating it opens a menu of display and reading adjustments, including options such as text size, letter and line spacing, contrast and color modes, a readable font, link highlighting, a reading guide, cursor adjustment, and stopping animations.

  • Selecting a function applies it immediately; selecting it again turns it off, and the menu includes a reset option that clears all widget settings.
  • Your selections are stored only in your own browser (local storage and first-party preference cookies) so they persist between visits; they are not used for tracking.
  • The widget supplements the site's native accessibility implementation (semantic structure, keyboard support, focus management, color contrast, reduced motion, skip links) — it does not replace it, and the site remains fully usable if the widget fails to load or is blocked.

Testing

Accessibility of this website is checked in the following ways:

  • Automated audits of all public pages with Google Lighthouse and axe-core (covering WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rules).
  • Manual keyboard-only testing of navigation, menus, forms, and dialogs.
  • Screen reader checks with VoiceOver (macOS and iOS).
  • Zoom and reflow checks at 200% browser zoom and narrow (320px) viewports.

Testing is performed on current versions of Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge) and Safari, on both the English and Hebrew versions of the site.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Hero Animation: The animated phone demonstration in the hero section is purely decorative and is hidden from assistive technologies.
  • Third-Party Content: Some embedded third-party content (e.g., social media links) may not meet all accessibility standards.

We are continuously working to address these limitations and improve accessibility.
